Opened in February 1837, the Grade 1 listed Theatre Royal remains one of the most historic, cultural landmarks in the country and continues to dominate the heart of Newcastle’s Grainger Town. The Theatre Royal is one of the most famous theatres in the country and in it's one hundred and seventy year history has played host to the biggest names in dance, drama, music and comedy.

Hacel's Vici Pendant, Vici Wall Light, Solara Slim and Solara Exit luminaires were specified by Dennis Ford of Hewertson Jenkinson Partnership for the newly refurbished Box Office and Caffè Teatro within the Theatre Royal.
